A note on infection control office policy:

Dr. Soileau and her entire staff understand your concerns about infectious diseases, as has been the case have over the past decades, and all of us take those concerns very seriously. We are pleased to say that infection control has been extremely well managed by dental offices around the country, according to a recent report from the American Dental Association’s Health Policy Institute.

We have taken many steps in diminishing transfer of illness in our office. Some of these include abbreviated to no waiting time in our reception room, and with fewer other people, if any. There is no longer shareable reading material. We also have air filtration in each of our five operatories (although this has not been scientifically proven to make a difference in infection control efficiency). We also utilize high velocity suctioning during aerosol-producing procedures. Patients should be masked while not in the operatory, until local mandates change.

Our office remains in compliance with federal, state, and local mandates regarding COVID-19.  If you wish that vaccinated individuals work with you during your visit to our office, that request will be met. Further, be assured that it is a HIPAA violation for my office to reveal any healthcare information about a patient without that patient’s consent.

Finally, and of significant note, several studies have been (and continue to be) released regarding the link between uncontrolled periodontal disease and the potential for acquiring potentially harmful diseases and conditions, including COVID.  If you want references for these findings, please do not hesitate to call our office.

You will be asked at your appointment reminder call if you have been feeling unwell- or are aware of any recent exposure to someone who has been unwell. Please let us know as soon as possible if either of these is the case so that we can reschedule you at a time most appropriate for your situation.

Advisories from the Centers for Disease Control:

•Don’t delay emergency care
